FIRST WINNER FOR BLUE POINT

11 Apr 2023 09:57

Former star sprinter Blue Point got off the mark as a sire on Monday when his two-year-old son Action Point won at Kempton.
The Archie Watson trained colt Action Point was a well supported favourite in the juvenile event at Kempton on Monday and drew clear for a length and a half win under Hollie Doyle on the all weather track.
Action Point is expected to be the first of many European first crop winners as Blue Point has over 150 foals in his first NH crop and has been installed favourite to be leading first season sire by winners.
A wide-margin winner of the G2 Gimcrack Stakes as a juvenile, Blue Point went on to win four G1 sprints including three at Royal Ascot. His impressive first crop yearlings averaged €116,000 at the sales last season with a top price of €420,000.
